An underwater artificial reef park is created on the coast of Sant Adrià de Besòs, taking advantage of the dismantling of the pontoons of the old thermal power plant.
An agreement between Endesa, the town councils of Badalona, Sant Adrià de Besòs and the Besòs Consortium has made it possible to carry out a project for the conservation of the seabed, the improvement of biodiversity and the promotion of environmental education.
This will give a second use to the structures under the sea that offer shelter and favor the habitat of hundreds of marine species, a clear example of Circular Economy.
Dnota Medio Ambiente, S.L. has proposed the action, within the framework of our environmental management of dismantling and demolition works of infrastructures in the maritime-terrestrial zone to ENDESA, as a good practice in a circular economy scenario.
Other work has also been carried out, such as:
* Executed feasibility study for conservation as a reef park.
* Adequacy project has been drafted.
* Use and management plan drafted.
* Drafting of a project for the execution of the project.
