dnota, innovates with the commissioning of a state-of-the-art, solar-powered mobile unit for the air quality control network of the Junta de Castilla La Mancha.
The Consejería de Agricultura, Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Rural de la JCCLM, awarded dnota medio ambiente, s.l., the design, manufacture and commissioning of a compact mobile unit to complement its network of fixed air quality measurement stations.
This innovative project has been designed by dnota’s Engineering Department as a self-supporting mobile station, with the same measurement quality characteristics as a fixed station, but with the flexibility of location wherever it is required at any given moment.
The mobile station designed by dnota is equipped with state-of-the-art pollutant measurement instrumentation from Thermo Scientific (NOx, SO2, H2S, O3, CO, PM10 and PM2.5 particles), Synspec (BTX), and Digitel (particle sampler), along with a complete weather station measuring pressure, temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, solar radiation and wind speed/direction.
All the instruments of this station have the same approvals against European standards required for the fixed stations of the network, in order to obtain the same quality and validity of data as those.
In addition, this measuring station is equipped with a power supply system that allows both connection to a mains socket and power supply by a set of solar panels and new generation batteries.
For the management system and data transmission from the analyzers to the control center of the Board, dnota implemented its new software version AIREThe new software, which is an evolution made in recent years by its systems department towards the opensource, based on cloud-web and cloud management, as an improvement of our previous data acquisition and validation software implemented for years in most of the Spanish air quality networks.
This project has been a new milestone that once again places dnota at the forefront of the air quality control network equipment sector, in which it is a leader due to the quality of its work, recognized by public and private clients. The equipment installed by dnota is present in almost all public networks (Andalusia, Catalonia, Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Basque Country, Valencia, Murcia, Castile and Leon, Extremadura, Cantabria, Asturias, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands…), as well as in the main private networks (electricity companies, cement plants, paper mills, steel mills, incinerators, etc.).
