- The Thermo Scientific Model 48i is an analyzer that uses gas correlation technology associated with absorption in the IR. It is based on the principle that carbon monoxide (CO) absorbs infrared radiation in the wavelength of 4.6 μm. Since IR absorption is a non-linear measurement technique, it is necessary for the instrument to carry out electronic processing of the signal obtained by the analyzer to transform it into a linear output.
- The Model 48i uses a highly accurate calibration curve to then linearize the instrument output over any range up to a concentration of 10,000 ppm.
- This state-of-the-art gas analyzer offers features such as an Ethernet port and Flash memory for data storage expansion.
- Ethernet connectivity provides efficient remote access, allowing the user to download measurement information directly from the instrument without having to be on site.
- The analyzer has user-configurable keys that allow direct access to frequently used functions, menus or screens. It has a large display that allows up to five lines of measurement information to be displayed, while keeping the main display visible.
